The Home Inspection Process

Do I need to be present for my home inspection?

We would prefer that you are however it is not required. It is preferred for us to explain and show you our findings in person however we understand it isn’t always possible. A representative for you such as your real estate agent could attend instead.

How long does a home inspection take?

Approximately three hours. We give ourselves the time we need to be extremely thorough and to discuss our findings with you afterwards.

When do I show up for my home inspection?

Typically a home buyer will show up the last hour or so of the home inspection process to look around the home/property and to ask questions and review findings with the inspector. You are welcome to attend the entire time however we have found many clients find this a long time to wait.

Does the home inspection include appraisal?

No.

The Report

When will I receive my home inspection report?

We will have your detailed home inspection report with color photos to you in a PDF format within approximately 24 hours of your home inspection. We would love to also provide you with a printed color copy of your report in a manor of methods (delivered locally, by mail, to your realtors office, etc.). We want to be flexible to our clients needs!

What if I have questions later about my report?

We are here for you and want you to have knowledge about your home. We are happy to answer questions any time after your home inspection. A great way to continue to keep up to date on your home is to schedule a annual maintenance check up inspection with us!
